20 min before entry - what to do with the hair?

Writer's picture: LindaLinda
As you can imagine, women spend allot of energy making sure they'll look perfect on their wedding day. I've never been very much into personal beautification but I made a pretty fair effort - go my nails done, trimmed the eyebrows, got some good, non-toxic make up for the big day. But I couldn't figure out what to do with my hair! Contacted every hair dresser in town but they were not able to come out to the wedding location as early in the morning as required, on the big day. I finally scheduled to get my hair curled at the local hair dresser the day before and sleep with a silk hat overnight. However, I ran out of time and missed my appointment.

The morning of the wedding there was so much to prepare that even 20 minutes before I had to enter, I still didn't know what to do with my hair! It was too late to get it all curled myself. Fortunately I had predicted this might happen and had asked my dear friends Kate and Eva, to be around a bit earlier in the morning, in case I might need their help. And they were! So at 10.05 am I sent for Tom to call on Kate and Eva, and they snuck into my room and got right to work. In just a few minutes, with bobby pins at hand they had put my hair up into a bun, and then Eva got to work, curling the bangs. Through some kind of miracle, these two friends managed to make me look the best I've ever done. When I walked out of the room 20 minutes later, Tom hardly recognized me and he was stunned! In fact before the officiator had a chance to start the ceremony, Tom proclaimed to the whole crowd which had gathered "Doesn't she look beautiful!?". Everyone nodded and I shot back at him "You don't look too bad yourself, either" to which I got a big round of laughter.
Kate managed to capture my hair-do angel Eva as she was touching up my make-up after they did my hair.
